Event Recap
The April 21, 2025 episode of WWE Raw—your classic post-WrestleMania fallout show—came in loud, chaotic, and honestly a little all over the place, but in a way that mostly worked. The biggest moment of the night was seeing newly crowned Undisputed WWE Champion John Cena barely get time to celebrate before Randy Orton dropped him with an RKO out of nowhere, immediately reminding everyone that Cena’s historic win came with a giant target on his back. The Judgment Day had a huge night too, with Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez dethroning Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria to win the Women’s Tag Team Titles, a result that felt like a genuine shake-up instead of just another placeholder win. Dominik Mysterio managed to hang onto the Intercontinental Championship against Penta in a fast-paced match that had just enough outside involvement to keep things on brand without completely derailing it. On the women’s side, IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer never got a proper finish thanks to interference, continuing the night’s theme that clean endings were apparently optional. Beyond the matches, the show leaned hard into big moments and surprise energy, with multiple confrontations and callouts that made it feel like the roster reset overnight. It wasn’t always smooth—some segments felt like they were tripping over each other trying to cram everything in—but that’s kind of the charm of these post-Mania Raws. It’s messy, unpredictable, and sometimes frustrating, but when it hits, like Orton standing tall over Cena, it reminds you why this episode is usually one of the most talked-about nights of the year.

Summary
This one had real stakes right out of the gate, and it showed in how aggressive everyone worked. Becky and Lyra came in as champs, but Judgment Day didn’t waste time taking control, isolating Valkyria and forcing Becky to play catch-up. Once Lynch got the hot tag, things picked up with her firing off strikes and near falls, but the numbers game started creeping in. Raquel’s power became the deciding factor late, and after a chaotic closing stretch, Judgment Day capitalized to score the pin and win the titles. It wasn’t overly complicated—just a steady breakdown of the champs until they cracked—but it worked, even if it felt like Becky never fully got out of second gear.

Summary
This match had the ingredients to be something special, and for a while, it actually delivered. IYO and Vaquer traded control with a mix of speed and technical offense, and Vaquer in particular held her own in a way that made her feel like she belonged immediately. Just when it started building toward a real finish, everything unraveled with outside interference, throwing the match out entirely. It’s frustrating because the in-ring work was solid and the crowd was into it, but instead of a decisive ending, it turned into another “we’ll deal with this later” situation that cut the momentum off right when it mattered most.

Summary
This was easily the most action-heavy match of the night, with Penta pushing the pace early and forcing Dominik into a defensive role. There were some wild sequences—dives to the outside, near falls that actually felt close—and for a moment, it looked like Penta might pull it off. But Judgment Day being ringside told you how this was probably ending. Sure enough, interference came into play at the worst possible time for Penta, knocking him off balance just enough for Dominik to capitalize. One frog splash later, and Dom retained. It was a fun match with a predictable finish, but at least the journey there made it worth watching.
