Event Recap
Oh man, Monday Night Raw on 12/29/25 was one of those year‑ender episodes that felt like a blender of big moments, solid wrestling, and a few “wait… what?” spots that had us scratching our heads. From the Kia Center in Orlando, the show kicked off with The Vision rolling out and reminding everyone they’re still a weird, intimidating circus of talent, and yeah the crowd was very vocal about some names in that group. The ring action didn’t disappoint early as Gunther absolutely put R‑Truth through the wringer in a quick but satisfying bout that had the crowd buzzing about how dominant Gunther still is. Rey Mysterio vs. Austin Theory played out with classic Rey energy and some timely interference that left fans torn between cheering for the legend and groaning at the inevitable shenanigans. Then we hit the good stuff: Stephanie Vaquer managed to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship in a triple threat against Raquel Rodriguez and Nikki Bella, and while Nikki getting tossed around was vintage, Vaquer looked like a legit champion. Even better, The Usos shocked half the crowd by taking the World Tag Team Titles off AJ Styles & Dragon Lee, which was a wild and joyful moment for anyone who’s missed Jey and Jimmy being at the top. All in all, Raw wrapped 2025 with enough high points to be genuinely excited for 2026—even if some segments dragged or felt recycled, the night delivered heat, big cheers, and those buzzy moments we all live for as fans.

Summary
This triple threat for the Women’s World Title was a straight‑up competitive war with all three women trying to assert dominance from bell to finish. Nikki Bella brought the veteran savvy, hitting a couple of nearfalls and even locking in a submission on Raquel, but Rodriguez just powered through and looked like a legit threat with a big clothesline and a Tejana Bomb on her opponents. Vaquer played it smart, twice escaping the heavy offense from both challengers, and ultimately turned chaos into gold by rolling up Nikki for the pin after Rodriguez was taken out on the floor. It wasn’t perfect — some bits felt a bit recycled — but Vaquer showed why she’s not just holding the belt, she deserves it

Summary
If you were hoping for a long, technical masterclass, this wasn’t it — but Gunther’s domination was exactly the point. R‑Truth came out with energy early, throwing strikes and trying to keep the powerful Austrian off balance, but it didn’t last. One huge chop, a powerbomb that almost buried Truth in the mat, and Gunther just took over. Instead of pinning him, Gunther opted to sink in the Sleeper Hold, wringing every last ounce of life out of Truth until the tap came. It was short, brutal, and showcased Gunther’s sheer physical superiority (even if it made Truth look like absolute roadkill).

Summary
This match had that classic feel of Rey trying to overcome size and youth versus Theory, who wasted zero time turning nasty as the new member of The Vision. Theory kept Rey grounded with hard shots and even slugged him into the ring post on the outside. Just when Rey looked like he might rally with a reversed Burning Hammer into a DDT, Logan Paul ran in and messed up the whole thing, drawing a disqualification and creating the mess you saw on replay ten times. It was short, a little messy, and honestly felt more like a setup for the next segment than a real contest — but Rey still got his 619 in after Penta’s return even if it didn’t officially count.

Summary
In the main event, the energy was real and both teams delivered. The Usos targeted Dragon Lee early, cutting off tags and keeping the high‑flier from getting momentum, while Styles brought his usual combo offense that kept the crowd invested with nearfalls. Lee even launched himself over the top rope at one point, taking out Jimmy across the announce table — a reckless yet exhilarating moment. Back in the ring, after Styles hit a near‑three with the Styles Clash, The Usos rallied, hit stereo superkicks, and finished off Lee with the 1‑D for the win. It wasn’t flawless, but it had intensity, back‑and‑forth action, and finally put the tag gold back around The Usos’ waists where a lot of fans feel it should be.
