Event Recap
The April 7, 2025 episode of WWE Raw from Minneapolis leaned hard into the WrestleMania build and packed the night with confrontations, hard-hitting matches, and at least one chaotic brawl that felt inevitable the moment certain people walked into the same room. The show opened with IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley all fighting for control of the Women’s World Championship picture. After a heated exchange, the situation escalated quickly when SKY ended up laying both women out and signing the contract to make their WrestleMania title match official. The ring action also delivered a handful of strong bouts throughout the night. Lyra Valkyria successfully defended the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley in a competitive match that had plenty of back-and-forth momentum before Valkyria managed to keep the title. In trios action, The Creed Brothers and El Grande Americano defeated the Latino World Order, although the win came with controversy thanks to Americano using a foreign object to steal the victory. That cheap shot didn’t sit well with Rey Mysterio, who immediately challenged him afterward. Meanwhile, Penta defeated Dominik Mysterio, only for Dominik and Carlito to jump him after the match until Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker ran down and wiped out everyone with a string of spears before Finn Bálor blindsided Breakker from behind.
The night closed with the kind of tense segment that always feels like it’s going to explode eventually. Seth Rollins confronted Paul Heyman about where his loyalties actually lie with CM Punk and Roman Reigns, and that conversation didn’t stay verbal for long. Punk hit the ring, the insults escalated, and the situation turned into a full-on fight between Punk and Rollins. Rollins ultimately left Punk laid out after hitting a Blackout, then issued a threat toward Heyman that made it clear he’s not interested in playing nice with anyone heading into WrestleMania. It wasn’t the smoothest episode Raw has ever produced, but between the brawls, title matches, and several egos colliding at once, the show definitely delivered the kind of unpredictable chaos that makes the WrestleMania build feel like it’s about to boil over.

Summary
Lyra Valkyria defended the Women’s Intercontinental Championship against Bayley in a match that turned into a pretty competitive back-and-forth fight. Bayley leaned heavily on experience early, slowing the pace and targeting Valkyria with methodical offense. Valkyria eventually flipped the momentum with a series of quick counters and strikes that forced Bayley onto the defensive. The closing stretch had several believable near falls as both women tried to finish things off. Valkyria finally managed to shut the door by hitting her finisher and pinning Bayley to retain the championship. It was a solid title defense that showed Valkyria can hang with one of the division’s most experienced wrestlers when things get tight late in a match.

Summary
This six-man tag was built around speed versus power, and both sides stuck to that formula the entire match. The Latino World Order tried to keep things moving with quick tags and aerial offense, especially once Dragon Lee got involved and started flying around the ring. The Creed Brothers countered that approach with pure strength, tossing their opponents around whenever they managed to slow the action down. El Grande Americano added a little chaos to the mix and ultimately helped swing the match his team’s way. After a series of double-team attacks and a late distraction, Americano and the Creeds managed to secure the victory for American Made. It wasn’t the cleanest finish, but it got the job done and left the LWO frustrate

Summary
The War Raiders put the World Tag Team Titles on the line against The New Day in a match that mixed power with classic tag team pacing. Erik and Ivar controlled the early portion with heavy strikes and double-team moves, forcing Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods to rely on quick tags and counters just to stay in the fight. As the pace picked up, New Day started landing their signature offense and the crowd got more invested with each near fall. The match eventually broke down when a steel chair got involved during the chaos. Ivar used the chair during the scuffle, which the referee caught, resulting in a disqualification that handed the win to The New Day. The titles didn’t change hands, but the messy ending definitely left the situation unresolved

Summary
Penta faced Dominik Mysterio in a match that had the crowd pretty clearly behind the masked luchador from the opening bell. Dominik tried to slow things down with cheap shots and distractions, which is basically his entire playbook at this point. Penta responded with aggressive strikes and his usual high-impact offense, keeping Dominik from settling into any rhythm. The finishing stretch came quickly once Penta took control, landing the Penta Driver to score the clean pinfall victory. Things didn’t end there, though. Dominik and Carlito immediately jumped Penta after the match until Bron Breakker stormed the ring and started spearing everyone in sight. Then Finn Bálor blindsided Breakker from behind, which turned the aftermath into a complete pileup of bodies in the ring.
