Summary
This ended up being one of the best straight-up matches on the show, even if it was thrown together pretty randomly. From the start, both guys clicked—Kofi mixed in quick strikes and a clean DDT early, while Penta answered with sharp counters, including a superkick that sent Kingston into the corner. The pacing stayed high, and neither guy held control for long. Kofi had a big moment when he countered a top-rope setup and started stacking offense, but Penta kept cutting him off with bursts like a nasty codebreaker and that handstand double kick in the corner. Things got messier once Grayson Waller got involved at ringside. He grabbed at Penta briefly, which Kofi actually protested—worried about winning the wrong way—but it still shifted the momentum. From there, the match kicked into another gear. Kofi landed SOS for a close near fall, then followed up with Trouble in Paradise—but Penta barely kicked out, which got a huge reaction. Penta answered right back, hitting a Mexican Destroyer on Waller outside and then turning back to Kofi. The finish came when Kofi tried to take it to the top rope, but Penta shoved him off and immediately caught him with a top-rope Mexican Destroyer, sealing it clean. Result: Penta def. Summary
This felt like a classic battle between two of the most recognizable tag teams of the modern era, and while it didn’t quite reach “instant classic” territory, it was exactly the kind of extended tag match you hope for when these teams collide. The Usos and New Day traded sequences, counters, and flurries of offense that reminded you just how long these two have known each other’s timing. There were moments where The New Day gained momentum, especially once Grayson Waller at ringside tried to tilt things in their favor, but once he got tossed out, the match tightened up. In the final stretch, Jey and Jimmy hit a big Spear on Xavier Woods followed by a clean 1‑D on Kofi Kingston for the pin. It wasn’t perfect, and it lacked that extra “boom” you sometimes get from this rivalry, but it gave The Usos a feel‑good win that felt earned, not rushed.

Summary
This tag title fight delivered exactly what you hope for when a seasoned team like AJ Styles & Dragon Lee defends against a seasoned duo like The New Day. The champs hit the ground running, countering Kofi Kingston’s signature Boom Drop with a quick roll‑up and transition into a Calf Crusher that looked like it might put him away early before Woods made the save. From there, Dragon Lee’s double stomp on Kingston set up Styles to hit a crisp Styles Clash for the clean pin. It was brisk and efficient, with both teams clicking on offense and pacing things well, but Styles & Lee still looked like the sharper, more polished unit when it mattered most. This felt like a confident title defense—no flukes, just execution.
