Event Recap
The March 15, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown brought the blue brand to Barcelona, Spain for a pretty lively show that mixed solid matches with the kind of chaos you expect this close to WrestleMania. Things got loud right away when LA Knight hit the ring as United States Champion and started talking, only for Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga to get involved and turn the whole thing into a mess that eventually became a six-man tag. Knight teamed with Jimmy and Braun Strowman, and the match was the kind of big, crowd-pleasing brawl where bodies were flying everywhere before Strowman finally crushed Tama Tonga with a running powerslam to seal the win. Of course, it didn’t end neatly—Jacob Fatu went on a rampage afterward and wrecked Strowman with multiple moonsaults, which honestly might have been the most memorable part of the segment. Elsewhere on the card, Charlotte Flair handled B-Fab by forcing her to tap out to the Figure Eight, but the celebration didn’t last long because Tiffany Stratton stormed in and started a pull-apart fight that security had to break up. Damian Priest technically beat Shinsuke Nakamura, though the finish came by disqualification when Drew McIntyre interfered and brutally attacked Priest. Randy Orton also picked up a win over Carmelo Hayes, but that one got heated afterward when Kevin Owens got involved and the tension kept building after the bell. The biggest title moment of the night came when The Street Profits finally grabbed the WWE Tag Team Championships by defeating #DIY, with Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins pulling off the win and celebrating like a team that knew they’d been chasing that moment for a while. Overall it was a pretty fun international SmackDown—some great crowd energy, a couple meaningful wins, and just enough post-match violence to remind you WWE rarely lets anything end peacefully.

Summary
Charlotte Flair and B-Fab had a fairly straightforward match, but B-Fab actually got more offense in than you might expect against someone like Charlotte. She came out swinging and even had a couple moments where it looked like she might catch Flair off guard with some power shots and a near roll-up. Charlotte eventually slowed things down and leaned on her experience, picking her spots and targeting the legs. Once she grabbed control, the finish wasn’t far away. Flair locked in the Figure Eight and forced B-Fab to tap out in the middle of the ring. Charlotte kept the hold locked in after the bell until WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton ran down to break it up. That quickly turned into a wild brawl that spilled around ringside while security tried—mostly unsuccessfully—to separate them.

Summary
Damian Priest and Shinsuke Nakamura had a physical, back-and-forth match that looked like it might actually end clean before things fell apart. Nakamura focused on strikes and kicks, while Priest relied more on power and counters to stay in control. The two traded momentum for several minutes, with Nakamura landing a few sharp shots that had Priest staggered. Priest eventually looked like he was about to close things out after setting up his finishing move, but Drew McIntyre showed up and climbed onto the announce desk to distract him. That opening was enough to throw everything off. The chaos led to McIntyre attacking Priest, causing the referee to call for the disqualification. After the bell, McIntyre kept the beatdown going while Nakamura added a Kinshasa before leaving Priest laid out.

Summary
Randy Orton vs. Carmelo Hayes ended up being a really solid match, with Hayes showing he could hang with one of WWE’s most experienced veterans. Hayes kept the pace quick and forced Orton to work harder than usual, landing a few sharp attacks that had the crowd wondering if an upset might actually happen. At one point Hayes connected with his Last 48 finisher and looked like he might have it won, but Orton did what Orton does best—survive and strike at the perfect moment. As Hayes tried to keep the momentum going, Orton suddenly exploded with an RKO out of nowhere and pinned him just like that. After the match, Kevin Owens showed up and got involved with Orton, keeping the tension alive even after the bell rang.

Summary
Gunther and Axiom had one of those matches where the underdog tries everything possible just to survive against a powerhouse. Axiom used speed and quick counters early to avoid Gunther’s heavy offense, and for a few minutes it actually worked. He slipped out of a couple holds and even landed some high-flying attacks that forced Gunther to reset. But once Gunther finally caught him clean, the tone of the match shifted fast. Gunther started unloading with heavy chops and grinding offense that slowed Axiom down piece by piece. Axiom kept fighting, but Gunther eventually overwhelmed him and locked in the sleeper to secure the victory. Even after the match was technically over, Gunther held onto the choke a little longer than necessary, making the point pretty clear.

Summary
The main event saw #DIY defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against The Street Profits, and it turned into a fast-paced tag match that stayed moving almost the entire time. Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa worked together to isolate Montez Ford early, using quick tags and double-team attacks to keep him in their corner. Once Ford finally broke free and tagged Angelo Dawkins, the pace picked up in a hurry. Dawkins started throwing heavier offense while Ford handled the high-flying moments that had the crowd buzzing. After a chaotic closing stretch with both teams scrambling for control, the finish came when Dawkins hit Ciampa with a spinebuster and Ford followed up with a huge Frog Splash for the pin. That combination gave The Street Profits the win and the WWE Tag Team Championships, a big moment after chasing the titles for a while.
