Event Recap
The May 23, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown was a wild ride — packed with Money in the Bank qualifiers, unexpected chaos, and one hell of a throwback moment to close the night. The women’s MITB Triple Threat kicked things off in exciting fashion as Giulia outlasted Zelina Vega and Charlotte Flair, flying off the top to take The Queen out and then dumping Vega with a Northern Lights Bomb to book her spot in the ladder match. That was a feel‑good moment that gave the division some fresh juice. Tommaso Ciampa vs. Chris Sabin delivered a gritty, physical match where Candice LeRae’s interference turned the tide, and Ciampa scored with a running knee while selling a fake injury — that backstabbing wrinkle was equal parts brilliant and frustrating. The mid‑card kept humming, with Michin & B‑Fab picking up a win over Secret Hervice in a quick tag bout before Jacob Fatu & JC Mateo teamed to take down Jimmy Uso & Rey Fenix after Solo Sikoa’s lurking presence on the apron added a nasty edge. In the men’s MITB Triple Threat, LA Knight took advantage of timing and chaos, tossing Aleister Black and pinning Shinsuke Nakamura to punch his own ticket. The Tag Team Championship match between the Street Profits and Fraxiom was a barnburner until ring mayhem took it off the rails — interference, hot tags, and suddenly… The Wyatt Sicks returned, lights out, and obliterated everyone in sight to close the night. Yep, that was a thing that happened. Between qualifiers that actually felt meaningful and one of the best surprise returns in recent memory, this SmackDown was all over the place but in the fun “can’t look away” sort of way

Summary
This Triple Threat was a great showcase for Giulia’s insane athleticism. Zelina Vega and Charlotte Flair both had their moments — Vega with a moonsault off the top rope and Flair fighting smart with Figure‑Four attempts — but Giulia refused to stay down. When Flair had Vega locked up, Giulia launched herself from the top turnbuckle and took out Flair’s knee, turning the tide in spectacular fashion. Once she had both women reeling, she nailed Zelina Vega with the Northern Lights Bomb for the pin. It wasn’t just about the win — it was how she took control at just the right moment and made her move count.

Summary
Ciampa’s match with Sabin was gritty and physical right from the opening stretch. Sabin kept it fast‑paced early, using his quickness to stay one step ahead of Ciampa’s methodical strikes. But then we got the wild moment — Candice LeRae popped up to distract Sabin while Ciampa pretended to be injured, baiting him into a mistake. Once Sabin’s attention was elsewhere, Ciampa charged and caught him with a ruthless strike to snatch the pin. A little crafty? Sure — but that’s Ciampa’s wheelhouse, and he sold it beautifully.

the Secret Hervice
Summary
This tag match was less about finesse and more about energy. Michin and B‑Fab hit the ring like they were ready to make a statement, and it showed from bell to bell. The Secret Hervice tried to use power to dominate, but this duo kept bouncing back with fast offense and teamwork that kept them in control. The chaos at ringside — courtesy of Zelina Vega and Chelsea Green — definitely shook things up, but Michin and B‑Fab stayed composed long enough to drop Eat Defeat on Fyre and score the victory. It was quick but solid, and the crowd was into the mix the whole way through.

Summary
This was a clash of styles — Fatu’s brute force alongside Mateo’s savvy versus Uso and Fenix’s high‑impact teamwork. For long stretches, Uso and Fenix looked like they might steal the show, hitting strikes and combos that had momentum swinging back and forth. But in the end, the Fatu/Mateo tandem got the advantage when Solo Sikoa hung out on the apron, adding brute intimidation that kept the challengers cautious. Mateo hit his Tour of the Islands on Uso, and that was more than enough to secure the pin. It wasn’t pretty, but it worked — and it set the tone for their uneasy alliance.

Summary
This Triple Threat was an exciting ride with all three guys fighting for a big opportunity. Black looked like he might steal it when he landed Black Mass on Nakamura, and we were all leaning forward waiting for that bell to drop. But Knight wasn’t having it — he shoved Black out of the way and turned right back to nail Nakamura for the pin. Seriously gutsy finish from Knight, and it got the crowd yelling “Yeah!” when his hand was raised. A solid qualifier that gave everyone a moment, but Knight ultimately got the highlight reel ending.

Fraxiom
Summary
What started as a high‑energy title defense quickly turned sideways. Fraxiom came in fired up and traded fast tags and quick double‑team offense with the champs. Just as things were clicking into that “title match feel,” #DIY jumped in and sparked a brawl that pulled everyone out of the ring. Next thing you know, the Motor City Machine Guns sprinted out to make it an all‑out brawl… and then the lights hit. When they came back up, The Wyatt Sicks had violently cleared the ring, decimating Street Profits, Fraxiom, and just about everyone else. Match never officially finished, but man, that return made an impact.
