Event Recap
The June 27 SmackDown from the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was a loaded go‑home show for Night of Champions that delivered a mix of big title moments, surprising wins, and chaotic tag action that had fans in the arena buzzing — even if a few things ended messier than they probably should’ve. JC Mateo kicked things off by out‑slugging Jimmy Uso with a Tour of the Islands for the pin, and even after Solo Sikoa tried to get Involved and coax Uso back into The Bloodline, Uso slapped him off before Jacob Fatu made the save instead. In one of the night’s biggest moments, Giulia stunned the crowd by defeating Zelina Vega and capturing the WWE Women’s United States Championship, somehow kicking out of a Code Red and then scoring the win with a Northern Lights Bomb. Later, Andrade and Rey Fenix teamed up to take down DIY in a surprisingly crisp tag match that brought real energy, with Fenix and Andrade getting the upset win. The Street Profits defended the Tag Team Championships against The Wyatt Sicks, but that one dissolved into an all‑out brawl once basically every tag team on SmackDown rushed in, leaving the match in a no‑contest and belts still on Ford and Dawkins’ shoulders. The card’s centerpiece was Tiffany Stratton vs. Nia Jax in a brutal Last Woman Standing Match for the WWE Women’s Title, and Stratton survived an absolute war — including taking a massive moonsault and nailing Jax with the Money in the Bank briefcase — to retain her gold. Between title flips, surprise assists, and post‑match celebrations, this SmackDown had that “big stage before a big PLE” feel — loud crowd, big moments, and momentum to burn heading into Night of Champions.

Summary
From the opening bell, Mateo came out with the heat, using every bit of deceptive ring savvy and quick strikes to keep Jimmy Uso off rhythm. After a couple of near comebacks from Uso — including a big superkick that nearly flipped the momentum — Solo Sikoa’s distraction at ringside proved costly. Mateo capitalized, nailed his Tour of the Islands finisher, and got the three‑count. Post‑match, Sikoa tried to bring Uso back into The Bloodline, which Jimmy answered with a slap — chaotic sibling tension that stole the crowd’s attention more than the bout itself.

Summary
This one was unexpectedly physical. Vega started strong, tweaking Giulia’s knee early and even landing a big Code Red that looked like it might end things. Still, Giulia scraped her way back in, surviving the ropes‑save off that Vega cover and timing her movements perfectly when Vega missed a moonsault. Giulia finally landed a sharp Northern Lights Bomb to snatch the U.S. Title, shocking a lot of fans and celebrating her first main‑roster title win with the belt in hand.
Summary
This tag was a gritty, unpredictable brawl with plenty of hot tags and high‑impact flair. Gargano looked like a danger early — even selling a nasty knee tweak on the steel — but Fenix and Andrade kept the pressure steady with aerial strikes and precision offense. In the final sequence, Fenix hit his Black Fire Driver setup and Andrade followed with The Message on Ciampa for the pin. The crowd in Riyadh was into it, and the upset win gave these two a serious rub as a tandem.

Summary
This match didn’t stick to a clean finish. The Profits looked sharp early, trying to use their speed to stay one step ahead of Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis, but the Sicks brought a menacing, methodical pace that put Ford and Dawkins under heavy pressure. Just when things got really physical, nearly every tag team from SmackDown showed up at ringside, turning it into a full‑on melee. The ref called it no contest, and the Profits retained, but the brawl‑driven chaos made it feel more like a chapter in a larger tag war than a true title defense.

Summary
This was a bruising war from bell to count‑of‑ten. Jax dominated early with power moves, smashing Stratton through a table with a splash and forcing multiple ten counts, but Tiffany kept kicking out. The fight spilled everywhere — ringside, stage area, you name it — and when Naomi tried to cash in her MITB, Stratton grabbed the briefcase and turned it into a weapon. That swung the pendulum huge: Stratton nailed Jax with the briefcase and followed by sending her through two more tables outside the ring. Jax couldn’t make the stand, and Tiffany walked out still champion after an absolute battering.
