Event Recap
The July 25, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown from the Rocket Arena in Cleveland was equal parts heartfelt tribute, knock‑down brawling and SummerSlam build that kept fans invested even when the finishes weren’t always clean. The night began with a ten‑bell salute and video package honoring Hulk Hogan, giving the crowd a genuine moment to respect a legendary, if divisive, figure in wrestling history. After that emotional opening, things quickly shifted into in‑ring action with Roxanne Perez scoring a big one‑on‑one victory over Alexa Bliss, showing some grit and athleticism that got the fans cheering. Jade Cargill followed that up by defeating Chelsea Green in a physical slugfest with plenty of stiff strikes and power moves, only for Green’s allies to swarm post‑match before Tiffany Stratton made the save and stirred up more tension.
In another solid singles battle, Jacob Fatu overcame The Miz with his characteristic hard hits and big splash, reminding everyone that he’s a wrecking machine even when the booking leans toward chaos. The WWE Tag Team Championship match between The Wyatt Sicks and Andrade & Rey Fenix didn’t end cleanly either — Nikki Cross pulled the ref out during a near‑fall, resulting in a disqualification win for Fenix and Andrade that left the crowd hot but the belts still on Gacy & Lumis’s shoulders. That shoving match sparked all‑out brawling from every tag team on the roster, and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis capitalized by announcing a massive Six‑Pack TLC Match at SummerSlam to finally settle the tag title chaos. Mixed in were backstage confrontations like Jelly Roll and Randy Orton going after Logan Paul and Drew McIntyre, adding a messy but compelling layer to the night. Between the heartfelt Hogan tribute, the hard‑fought victories and the multi‑team war that ended the show, this SmackDown had energy even when the scorecard felt messy and wild heading into SummerSlam

Summary
From the start, Perez brought a blend of intensity and technical savvy that made this feel like more than your average TV match. Bliss tried her usual mix of counters and ring generalship, using quick armdrags and sneaky rollups, but Perez stayed one step ahead with crisp offense — elbow strikes, snap German suplexes and tight holds that kept Bliss constantly on the defensive. Bliss briefly rallied with a sneaky roll‑up of her own, nearly scoring, but Perez’s resistance kept her alive. After breaking a few nearfalls and weathering a late rally from Bliss, Perez hit a big Rox Cutter out of nowhere for the clean pin. It was a good showing for Perez’s momentum, and Bliss still looked dangerous even in defeat.

Summary
These two collided with jaw‑jarring intensity from bell to bell. Green tried to use her brute strength early, firing off stiff chops and big kickouts to keep Cargill honest, but Jade absorbed enough of that offense to flash a smirk and raise the stakes. Cargill’s responses were thunderous — she dropped Green with a soaring cross‑body and several brutal uppercuts that kept the pace ticking. Green wasn’t afraid of trading blows, but every time she looked like she’d wear Jade down, Cargill answered back with even bigger power moves. Eventually, Cargill planted Green with a thunderous powerbomb for the pin. This wasn’t a long match, but it was a physical statement that Cargill is a legit force.

Summary
Fatu walked into this one like a living wrecking ball, punishing The Miz with heavy strikes and using his size advantage to control the ring positioning early. Miz fought gutsily, sliding out of Fatu’s grasp and using dirty tactics to slow the pace — cheap shots, ringpost bounces and a handful of referee distractions kept Fatu from steamrolling too quickly. Still, every time Miz tried to build momentum, Fatu just absorbed it and powered right through with explosive offense: big splashes, running corner clotheslines and a suffocating bearhug that wiped the wind out of Miz. In the end, Fatu hit a devastating Splash in the corner and pinned Miz clean, leaving no doubt about the outcome.

Summary
This title bout packed plenty of action and near‑falls but unfolded less like a classic wrestling match and more like layers of chaotic storytelling. Andrade and Fenix looked sharp and hungry, hitting synchronized dives to the outside and quick tag‑team combos that kept the champions reeling in spots. Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis, meanwhile, used their size and unorthodox offense to halt Fenix’s momentum frequently. Just as Andrade seemed ready to drop The Message and lock up a clean pin, Nikki Cross yanked the referee out of the ring mid‑count, leading to a disqualification. Fenix & Andrade technically won, but the titles stayed on the Sicks. That was just the start — every tag team on the SmackDown roster sprinted to ringside and obliterated each other in a wild melee that culminated with Gacy retreating but the division still very much in chaos.
