Event Recap
The August 15, 2025 episode of WWE SmackDown from Boston’s TD Garden hit like a mid‑August banger — a mix of fresh alignments, hot tag violence, and promos that kept things moving despite the TV match load. The show kicked into gear when Sami Zayn officially announced he’s now a SmackDown Superstar, immediately teaming with Jimmy Uso and Jacob Fatu to take on the MFTs (Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo, Tama Tonga). In a loud, physical six‑man clash, Zayn twice managed to put the boots to Solo, even hitting a clutch Helluva Kick for the pin on the United States Champion. That win definitely got the crowd fired up and planted Zayn firmly on the blue brand. Alexa Bliss followed with a gritty victory over Piper Niven, rolling her up after surviving a chaotic exchange that also saw Charlotte Flair and surprise interference from Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre. Later tag action served up a twist when Melo Don’t Miz (Carmelo Hayes & The Miz) kept their precarious partnership alive by outlasting Fraxiom, with The Miz stealing the pin off Hayes in textbook opportunistic fashion. The Street Profits also stayed hot, grinding out a win over DIY thanks to Montez Ford’s high‑flying splash and Dawkins’ muscle. In between the matches, **Drew McIntyre got on the mic to explain why he blasted Cody Rhodes with a Claymore, playing both victim and villain without missing a beat. The show balanced solid in‑ring work with a bit of chaos and surprise, giving fans some fun moments and keeping momentum going toward the fall wrestling calendar ahead.

The MFTs
Summary
The main event was rollicking and physical from the first bell. Zayn brought his signature urgency, tagging in and out to chop and whip Solo whenever he could, while Uso used veteran instincts and opportunistic strikes to keep the bigger foes guessing. The MFTs dominated in spurts, working over Zayn with isolations and quick tags, but once Fatu was in the mix it swung back in favor of the babyfaces. Fatu unloaded with power moves on Mateo and Tonga, leaving Sikoa vulnerable. Zayn capitalized, dodged a Samoan Spike, and hit a Helluva Kick for the pin on the United States Champion — a big, crowd‑pleasing moment that said this trio isn’t messing around.

Summary
Bliss took this one head‑on against the larger, more physical Niven, trading chops and strikes early before Niven started using heavy forearms and corner splashes to wear Bliss down. Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre tried to muddy the waters with interference, but Charlotte Flair was ready to even things out for Bliss from ringside. Bliss kept her cool, endured the bumps, and hit a clever schoolboy roll‑up for the pin. Immediately afterward the heels swarmed, beating down Bliss and Flair briefly before security pulled them back, a chaotic finish that added heat to the women’s tag picture.
Summary
This had that classic mismatch flavor where chemistry matters more than brute force. Fraxiom brought sharp tags and momentum early, isolating Hayes and tagging fluidly to keep both foes off balance. Hayes eventually cracked back with smart counters and quick strikes, but when it looked like he had Frazer set up for Nothing But Net, The Miz tagged in and hit a stealthy Skull‑Crushing Finale for the pin. It was sort of textbook “Miz steals glory,” which might be annoying but definitely fits the duo’s vibe

The Street Profits
Summary
This was a straight‑up crowd pleaser with tags flying and big moves landing. Ford and Gargano started off fast, with Montez hitting a few crisp slingshot dives and Ford and Dawkins cutting the ring in half. Every time DIY built momentum with tandem chain wrestling or a double team, the Profits answered with splash from the top rope or Dawkins’ spinebuster. The finish came when Dawkins hit a lateral press on Ciampa after a big splash from Ford, sealing the clean win. It wasn’t pretty, but it was satisfying and gave the Profits some much‑needed positives heading forward.
