The Street Profits
Summary
The Street Profits teamed with Joe Hendry to score a hard-fought win over The Vision in a chaotic six-man tag. Joe Hendry brought the crowd to life with his surprise appearance and his trademark entrance, while Logan Paul spent the opening promo taking shots at Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins. Once the bell rang, The Vision controlled much of the match with Bron Breakker’s explosive offense and Logan Paul’s athleticism. The momentum shifted when Ford caught fire, soaring over the ropes to wipe out Breakker on the floor. In the closing moments, Theory avoided Ford’s Frog Splash and nearly stole it, but Dawkins tagged in and capitalized on the chaos. After Seth Rollins distracted Breakker at ringside, Dawkins rolled up Theory for the three-count. The celebration didn’t last long. After the match, Rollins offered Dawkins up as a sacrifice, allowing Breakker to destroy him with a brutal Spear. The Profits got the win, but any alliance with Rollins looks to be hanging by a thread.

Summary
Backlash opened with an absolute heater as Seth Rollins and Bron Breakker beat the brakes off each other for more than 20 minutes. Rollins came out flying early, trying to prove that he still had enough gas left in the tank to hang with WWE’s newest wrecking ball. Breakker, meanwhile, looked like a mutant created in a lab specifically to run through human beings. The match had a little bit of everything: Frankensteiner, Pedigree, Stomp, and multiple Spears that looked like they should be illegal in all 50 states. Rollins survived a ton of punishment and even countered one Spear into a Pedigree, but Breakker simply would not stay down. In the end, Rollins went to the top rope one time too many, and Breakker blasted him out of the air with a picture-perfect Spear before hitting another for the win. This was a statement victory for Breakker, and if you still aren’t buying stock in this guy, you probably still think fax machines are cutting-edge technology.

The Men’s Royal Rumble match also featured 30 participants, mixing established stars, surprise returns, and breakthrough performances. Oba Femi made a huge early impact by entering at #1 and eliminating several competitors, including Rusev and Solo Sikoa. Throughout the middle of the match, notable moments included surprise eliminations, then-fresh returns like LA Knight, and clashes involving Brock Lesnar before he was eliminated by alliance efforts from other competitors. The final stretch came down to Roman Reigns (#26), Gunther (#30), Randy Orton, and Logan Paul as the last four. Reigns ultimately survived the fray by spearing Gunther, eliminating him over the top rope to win his second career Royal Rumble and punch his WrestleMania main event ticket.
