Event Recap
The March 17, 2025 episode of WWE Raw from Brussels had the kind of chaotic energy that makes the road to WrestleMania feel real, messy, and occasionally ridiculous—in a good way. The night was dominated by the return of John Cena, who fully leaned into his shocking heel turn and opened the show by unloading on the fans with a long, bitter rant about being disrespected for 25 years. The crowd drowned him in boos until Cody Rhodes stormed out and fired back, calling out the version of Cena standing in front of him and challenging him to bring something better to WrestleMania. It was uncomfortable, personal, and easily the most memorable part of the show. Inside the ring, the action was solid even if not every match felt earth-shattering. Bron Breakker retained the Intercontinental Championship against Finn Bálor after Judgment Day interference backfired in spectacular fashion, setting up a tense post-match moment when Penta appeared after earlier beating Ludwig Kaiser in a brutal No Holds Barred fight and making it clear he’s got title ambitions. Meanwhile, Jey Uso ran through Austin Theory in quick fashion before getting jumped by Gunther, which turned into a heated stare-down with the world title looming. Elsewhere, Dakota Kai stole a win over Ivy Nile thanks to outside distractions, and Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee beat the Creed Brothers before a masked attacker caused chaos afterward. Add in Seth Rollins promising to confront both CM Punk and Roman Reigns later in the week, and Raw ended up feeling busy, loud, and a little overstuffed. Not everything landed perfectly, but between Cena’s venomous promo and the growing title rivalries, this episode at least gave fans plenty to argue about on the way to WrestleMania.

Summary
Penta and Ludwig Kaiser opened things up with a fight that quickly turned into a weapons-filled brawl. Since the rules were basically nonexistent, both guys went straight for steel chairs and kendo sticks and didn’t waste time trying to wrestle pretty. Kaiser tried to slow things down with strikes and chair shots, but Penta kept pushing the pace and turning the chaos back on him. The match turned into a rough fight around ringside before Penta finally planted Kaiser with the Penta Driver to get the win. After the match, Penta made it clear in an interview that he’s coming after the Intercontinental Championship next, which felt like a pretty bold statement considering who’s holding that belt right now.

Summary
Dakota Kai and Ivy Nile didn’t get a ton of time, but they still managed to cram in a quick, scrappy match. Nile came out aggressive and tried to overpower Kai early with her strength, throwing her around and looking like she might run through the whole thing in a couple minutes. The turning point came when chaos broke out nearby involving Rey Mysterio, Dragon Lee, and the Creed Brothers, which distracted Nile at the worst possible moment. Kai took advantage immediately, capitalizing on the distraction and rolling Nile up to steal the victory. It wasn’t exactly the cleanest win in the world, but Kai wasn’t complaining as she got her hand raised.

Summary
This one was quick—blink and you probably missed most of it. Austin Theory came to the ring with Grayson Waller, but the match barely had time to develop before Jey Uso exploded with offense. Jey jumped on Theory early, shut down any momentum he tried to build, and finished the whole thing off in under a minute. The real moment came after the bell when Gunther appeared and confronted Jey. The two stood face-to-face in the ring with the tension obvious, which felt a lot more important than the short match that came before it.

Summary
Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee teamed up against Julius and Brutus Creed in a fast-paced tag match that felt like a clash of styles from the start. The Creeds leaned into their power and amateur wrestling background, trying to bully their opponents around the ring, while Mysterio and Lee relied on speed and quick tags to stay alive. The match moved quickly with a lot of back-and-forth before the LWO duo finally caught an opening and scored the win. Things didn’t end peacefully though, as a masked attacker showed up afterward and jumped Mysterio and Lee, leaving them laid out and the crowd wondering who just crashed the party.

Summary
Bron Breakker defended the Intercontinental Championship against Finn Bálor in the main event, and the match had the kind of tension you’d expect when Judgment Day is lurking nearby. Bálor tried to use experience and ring awareness to control the pace, but Breakker kept coming back with bursts of power and speed that changed the momentum fast. Judgment Day interference started to creep into the match, though it ended up causing more problems than it solved. Breakker capitalized on the chaos, blasted Bálor with a spear, and retained the championship. It wasn’t the cleanest environment for a title match, but Breakker still walked out with the belt.
