Segment recap
Cody announces to the crowd that he is CLEARED FOR ACTION, and he's ready to talk about what (or who) is next.
Cue the interruption!
Ricky Saints, the SmackDown debutant, struts down to address Cody.
These two have history and they don't shy away from it. Ricky Saints says Cody's 3 title reigns look like they have aged in 30 years, but he is here to relieve Cody of his duties.
Cody agrees to the match and the two shake on it. Boom! Huge debut match for Saints.
Summary
Charlotte came out looking like she wanted to personally delete Fatal Influence from existence, and early on it felt like she might actually pull it off. She controlled a lot of this match with her usual mix of power and technical offense, eventually locking in the Figure Eight like it was a done deal. But this is WWE in 2026, so of course it was not clean. Fatal Influence got involved right when things were slipping away for Jacy Jayne, breaking up the hold and shifting the momentum completely. Jayne capitalized fast, hit her Rolling Encore, and stole the win.
Not gonna lie, this was one of those finishes where you knew it was coming but still rolled your eyes. Jayne gets a huge win over Flair, even if it comes with a giant asterisk. Post match chaos followed until Rhea Ripley stepped in to even things up, and now Flair’s “handle it myself” approach looks questionable at best.

Summary
This one had a weird but fun dynamic. You have Priest trying to keep things grounded while R Truth is doing R Truth things, and across the ring Frazer and Axiom are moving at full speed like they are trying to break the ropes. The younger team controlled chunks of the match with quick tags and fast offense, hitting some really clean double team spots.
Priest eventually slowed things down with his power game, and once he got rolling it felt like the tide turned for good. Truth played his role, somehow both chaotic and helpful, and the veteran duo pulled it together for the win.
Not a match that is going to change anything long term, but it did what it needed to do. Frazer and Axiom looked sharp, Priest looked dominant, and Truth survived, which is always part of the appeal.
Summary
This had big prove it energy the second it got announced. Ricky Saints made his debut earlier in the night by running his mouth at Cody Rhodes, and respect for the confidence, but you could also feel where this was going. Once the bell rang, Saints got his shots in and showed flashes, but Cody never really felt in danger. The pacing leaned heavily in Cody’s favor, and when he hit Cross Rhodes, that was it. Clean win with no drama.
But the match was not the real story. Right after the win, GUNTHER showed up out of nowhere and absolutely wrecked Cody, leaving him laid out and holding up the title like he already owns it.
So Saints debuts and loses, which is basically the standard welcome to the main roster experience. Meanwhile Cody survives the match but not the aftermath, and suddenly his Backlash situation looks a whole lot worse.
Summary
Royce made quick work of Angel showing how powerful and explosive he is. Tossing around Angel up onto the top ropes and slamming him into the mat. The finish with his Spine Buster was quick and efficient. Royce Keys is a big dude and is a powerful force to be reckonned with!

Summary
This one started exactly how you would expect, with Paige and Brie Bella trying to avoid getting steamrolled by Nia Jax and instead picking their spots. They kept things moving early, quick tags, in and out, forcing Nia to chase more than dominate. Brie did a lot of the heavy lifting in that stretch, using speed to stay out of trouble and keep control just long enough to matter.
Once Nia finally got her hands on her, the tone shifted. She slowed everything down and started throwing Brie around, bringing Lash Legend in to keep the pressure on. Lash had a few strong moments showing off her power, but the match never fully turned into a one sided beatdown. Paige made sure of that, breaking things up and keeping her team alive whenever it looked like momentum was slipping. In the End Nia went for her finish but Paige knocked her off the ropes from the outside and Brie rolled up Nia for the three count!

Summary
This one closed the show and turned into exactly what you would expect when it is family business. It started fast with Talla Tonga immediately overwhelming Jey, setting the tone that this was not going to be pretty. Solo Sikoa kept the pressure on when he tagged in, mixing in power with those sudden bursts that always feel like they are about to end the match. Jimmy tried to answer back with strikes and quick offense, but every time the Usos got something going, they ran into a wall.
Talla looked like an absolute problem here. He was throwing people around, hitting a big leg drop, and even after Jimmy kicked out of a Samoan Drop, it never really felt like the Usos had control for long. Jey eventually got the hot tag and brought the energy, flying in with a dive and unloading with strikes and a Super Kick, followed by a Spear that almost got it done before Talla broke it up. The Usos even managed to clear Talla out briefly and stack up some offense, but again, it did not last.
The finish came in chaotic fashion. Talla started tearing apart the announce table, and just when it looked like things were about to escalate even more, Jacob Fatu showed up out of nowhere from the crowd and attacked Talla, causing the disqualification. MFT gets the win, even if it was the most predictable outcome possible.
After that, it completely broke down. Fatu went off, smashing Talla with the steps, locking in the Tongan Death Grip on Solo, then catching Talla again and driving him through the table with a Samoan Drop. The guy looked like a straight up menace.
